THE VOICE AFTER SACRIFICE
BY APOSTLE PAUL NWANDU
For everything you do there is always a spiritual voice backing it, for every sacrifice, physical sacrifice or whatever you do, there must be a voice backing it. It is either from the kingdom of God or a voice from the kingdom of hell and this voice comes to applaud you or reward you.
What is a sacrifice? In our time where prayers and worship have taken a lot of ground in the churches today and yet we find out that after much prayer, after much singing and dancing, sometimes we find ourselves the way we are, I am here to tell you that in the beginning God created the Heaven and the Earth and the Bible said he saw darkness was everywhere. And God spoke to the darkness and said let there be light and there was light and the Bible said after all he has created he set aside one day to make sacrifice unto him, sacrifice means to give up something important, something valuable to you, sacrifice is not a pleasant situation because when you decide to give up what is important to you for something else, that is pure sacrifice. It is also the act of offering something in a special way to your God, not just in an ordinary way, not just the way you want it, not just the way you feel but in a special way, an extra-ordinary not done before.
I am here to tell you that I know you have prayed a lot of prayers and I know you have sang a lot of songs, but I am convinced that your miracle is attached to sacrifice. If you are wondering where to sacrifice as a child of God, I will introduce to you what is called temple and altar, I will take time to explain what altar is all about and what temple is also about.
There is a difference between temple and altar because as you are here right now you are in the temple of God, that is why Jesus said your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, that means your body contains something that has to do with the Holy Spirit and that is why a temple can be said to be a worship place of God.
What is altar? Altar is a place of refuge, a place where you dwell and have deliverance, a place where you will have comfort. It is also a place where your life can be changed for the better. Inside every temple there is an altar. In Psalm 27:4 David said one thing I have desired of the Lord is that I may dwell in the house of the Lord in the temple of the Lord all the days of my life and behold the beauty of the Lord, David was talking about dwelling in the house of the Lord all the days of his life. David wanted to dwell in the house of the Lord because he knew that is where he can receive his blessing more abundantly and also to see the beauty of the Lord. When you see the beauty of God, it will reflect in you, it will dwell inside of you, and your life will be beautifu. 2corinthians 2:19, the Bible says “Do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, and whom you have from God.”
Your body is not your own, it is the temple of the Holy Spirit which means that God dwells inside of you, God lives inside of you. So if your body is the temple of the Holy spirit that means your body contains God and your body is a part of God, God lives in you because God lives in the temple.
Now you know what sacrifice means, an act of offering by giving out something that is important to you to somebody not only in the church but also outside the church.
But there is something I want to let you know today, that your sacrifice has the ability to open a door for you, your sacrifice has the ability to open a door that has been locked before you. Your financial door can be opened because of your sacrifice, your marital door can be opened because of your sacrifice, in fact any door that cannot be opened, and because of your sacrifice that door will be forced to open. God can change his decision over your life because of your sacrifice and if there is anything you need today it is to make your life a living sacrifice, Holy and acceptable unto God. Genesis 22:1-17,
“And it came to pass after these things, that God did tempt Abraham, and said unto him, Abraham: and he said, Behold, here I am. And he said, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of. And Abraham rose up early in the morning, and saddled his ass, and took two of his young men with him, and Isaac his son, and clave the wood for the burnt offering, and rose up, and went unto the place of which God had told him. Then on the third day Abraham lifted up his eyes, and saw the place afar off. And Abraham said unto his young men, Abide ye here with the ass; and I and the lad will go yonder and worship, and come again to you. fire in his hand, and a knife; and they went both of them together. And Isaac spake unto Abraham his father, and said, My father: and he said, Here am I, my son. And he said, Behold the fire and the wood: but where is the lamb for a burnt offering? And Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering: so they went both of them together. And they came to the place which God had told him of; and Abraham built an altar there, and laid the wood in order, and bound Isaac his son, and laid him on the altar upon the wood. And Abraham stretched forth his hand, and took the knife to slay his son. And the angel of the LORD called unto him out of heaven, and said, Abraham, Abraham: and he said, Here am I. And he said, Lay not thine hand upon the lad, neither do thou any thing unto him: for now I know that thou fearest God, seeing thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only son from me. And Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and behold behind him a ram caught in a thicket by his horns: and Abraham went and took the ram, and offered him up for a burnt offering in the stead of his son. And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovahjireh: as it is said to this day, In the mount of the LORD it shall be seen. {Jehovahjireh: that is, The Lord will see, or, provide} And the angel of the LORD called unto Abraham out of heaven the second time, And said, By myself have I sworn, saith the LORD, for because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son: That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies”
This is a story that is very sympathetic which none of us here can stand. Abraham had a covenant son, and that son was so unique, it was only the covenant he had, and what happened? The Bible said that God demanded for that only child to be sacrificed to Him. Abraham had the whole right to say no unto God but he said to God you are the one who gave me this child and I will lay his life down for you.
Bible referred this as God testing Abraham. It was time for a test, it was a time for testing, it was a time that Abraham had only one son, it was a time that Abraham was confused, he couldn’t comprehend the situation he found himself in. It was a time that he couldn’t imagine himself having only one son, a covenant son. When God had said to him that you are the father of many nations, when God had promised him all kind of things. Like some of us we have heard the word of God a long time ago, promises from God, you began to ask yourself, why is it that those things God had promised me have not been fulfilled or done in my life, why has it not come to past, why is it that things are happening.
Remember, Abraham had only one son and God said I want you to go and sacrifice that child for me. But there is something about Abraham. He never argued with God, he never said anything to God because Abraham knew his God, the Bible says, “Those that know their, they shall be strong and they shall do exploit”. You are the one who should know his God, peradventure you are out there and you do not know your God, you do not understand your God, God is speaking out to you and he is telling you that he is God Almighty, with him all things are possible.
May be you are passing through turbulent times, a period you don’t understand, I want you to know this day that all you need to do is to look unto God, a God that can accept your sacrifice. I have told you that sacrifice is giving out of something valuable, that which is important, that which is so special to you. One of the things you have given out today to God to show your appreciation is your time of reading this message. God will not allow you to leave that sit without a blessing (Amen).
I want you to put yourself in Abraham’s shoe, assuming that you are Abraham and you have only one son, can you release him to God? But Abraham moved on, the Bible said he name to a place that the lord had told him, built his alter for the sacrifice. Why did Abraham build an altar? God did not tell him to build an altar, because he understood the meaning of altar, he understood that when he builds an alter for God, God cannot accept that child, he knew that when he builds an altar, an altar is a place of refuge, an altar is a place of rest, an altar is a place where dead people go and they come back to life, an altar is a place where sick people go and they receive their healing, it is also a place where the worried go and they are comforted.
Abraham did not just come into the temple, he came into the temple and started building an altar to sacrifice his child, an altar is a place where you drop your sacrifice and God will accept it. Abraham carefully built an altar and the Bible says Abraham bound his son, he chained his hands and legs, he chained every part of his body and placed him on top of the altar to slaughter, because God cannot accept that sacrifice, because the Bible says thou shall not commit murder . And as he lifts his hand to cut off the child, the Bible says that the angel of the lord appeared and said to Abraham, do not touch that child, for today I know that you trust in me.
How did God say such a thing, it was because he found out that Abraham sincerely wanted to kill that child, his only child, he never withheld him from God. And today every one of us is singing “Abraham blessings are mine, Abraham blessing are mine, I am blessed in the morning, I am blessed in the evening, Abraham blessings are mine.” There is something Abraham to attract that blessing, he did not see the blessing on the way and grabbed it, but there was a pronouncement.
2Samuel 24: 24-25 and we are going to see men and women who sacrificed unto God, , it say’s “And the king said unto Ar-au-hah, Nay; but I will surely buy it of thee at a price: neither will I offer burnt offering unto the lord my God of that which doth cost me nothing. So David bought the threshing floor and the Oxen for fifty Shekels of silver. And David built an altar unto the lord, and offered burnt offering and peace offering. So the Lord was entreated for the land, and the plague was stayed from Israel.
If you have not surrendered your life to God as a living sacrifice, Holy and acceptable God is now willing to accept you, the alter of God is here for you to surrender yourself to him as a living sacrifice, any man that is a living sacrifice, is a man that God will say go and he will go, a man that God will say do this and he will do it.
If you want a breakthrough, pronouncements upon your life please give your life to Jesus Christ. The sacrifice starts from there. Tell God that you are ready to surrender, speak to him, let your life be a living sacrifice.
Now I want to pray for you here. In Jesus name, father I pray for this one that has made this sacrifice. Father, he has surrendered his life to you as a sacrifice, I pray that you God that saved this one, father speak to them the way they will understand, father bless them in Jesus, make them a blessing like you made Abraham a blessing in Jesus name. Amen
